Executive Assistant – salary to £27,300 plus benefits

About Us

Empower Housing Association (EHA) specialise in providing housing for adults with disabilities enabling them to live independently within their community. Working together with families, Local Authorities and other key stakeholders, we aim to find the right home for our tenants. We currently provide housing to over 450 tenants in a geographical area from Scotland to Devon. Our colleagues are key to our success and growth, we are a small team and put people at the heart of all that we do.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Executive Assistant to join our team. If you are an enthusiastic, organised self-starter, have an eye for detail and want to make a real difference then you may be who we are looking for.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide effective support to the Senior Management Team
  • Co-ordinate and support meetings, including preparation of agendas, collation of data, formatting, and distributing meeting papers.
  • Produce minutes and action points for meetings, ensuring that issues raised are distributed appropriately and that actions are monitored and followed up
  • Provide governance support working to the Company Secretary.
  • Actively contribute to effective cross-team working and Empower projects.
  • Support to Senior Management Team in terms of liaison with HR and Health and safety Consultants, including arranging training.
  • Management of HR and personnel digital records
  • Liaise with Board Members, directors, partners and stakeholders

About You

You will uphold a strict level of confidentiality and have excellent communication skills both orally and in writing. You will have a proven ability to manage multiple priorities within timescales with excellent attention to detail.

Ideally you will have a knowledge of or experience working within a social housing or similar environment and supporting a Board/Governance structure.

Working 37.5 hours a week – Monday to Thursday 8.45am – 5pm and Fridays 9am – 4pm.

    Parking: Limited parking available at the back of the building on Empower’s private car park. With two allocated disabled parking bays to the front of the building. On-street parking is available for up to an hour. There are also pay and display car parks nearby.

    Accessibility: Empower’s offices have widened doorways to reception and level access ramps to the main entrance.
