About Empower Housing

Empower Housing Association is a charitable community benefit society registered with the FCA and is a not-for-profit provider of social housing and is registered with the Regulator of Social Housing as a social landlord.
We specialise in providing housing for adults with disabilities enabling them to live within their community independently.
Working together with families, Social Services, Care Providers and Commissioners, Empower aim to find the right home for their tenants. Empower currently provide housing in a geographical area from Scotland to Devon.

What is supported living?

Supported living enables people with disabilities to have a right to decide where and with whom they want to live, with the ongoing support they require to sustain that choice. This may include:

  • Living in a property which is rented. Either in shared or self-contained accommodation on an individual tenancy agreement.
  • Support will be provided by a Care Provider or PA
  • Moving into an existing supported living scheme where there is a vacancy.

With supported living there is a separation between housing and support. This means as a tenant you have the right to choose who will provide your support and can change your support provision whilst remaining in your home.
