Maintenance Officer

As a Maintenance Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring all properties that we manage are maintained to Empower Housing Association’s standards, with good quality work at the most reasonable prices and in a timely manner.

You will work with colleagues, tenants, and partner agencies to ensure all tenancies are provided and maintained in accordance with current legislation and that all support and services are provided in a tenant focused manner.  As part of your job role you will be required to take day to day repairs over the phone and be competent in using our housing software package to record (training will be given). You will be required to provide an on-call telephone service during evenings and weekends (including bank holidays and Christmas), which is rotated between all Housing Tenant Support Officers.  In addition to the on-call service, there will be an element of the role which will involve travel with the possibility of overnight stays.

You will be working with our committed team from our office based in Chorley and will receive full training and support as well 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays) along with Health & Wellbeing and company pension schemes.

Working hours are Monday to Thursday 8.45am – 5pm and Fridays 9am – 4pm.

    Parking: Limited parking available at the back of the building on Empower’s private car park. With two allocated disabled parking bays to the front of the building. On-street parking is available for up to an hour. There are also pay and display car parks nearby.

    Accessibility: Empower’s offices have widened doorways to reception and level access ramps to the main entrance.
