If you are a tenant who rents, it is unlikely your landlord will cover your contents as part of the tenancy agreement. It’s a good idea to consider what a home contents insurance policy would cover you for to help you make an informed decision on whether you need one.

To help you decide whether home contents insurance is right for you, we have identified the My Home Contents Insurance Scheme which is provided by Thistle Tenant Risks, and Great Lakes Insurance UK Limited (the preferred supplier of the National Housing Federation) who provide contents insurance designed for tenants living in social housing.
The My Home Contents Insurance Scheme can offer you insurance for the contents of your home including cover for items such as furniture, carpets, curtains, clothes, bedding, electrical items, jewellery, pictures and ornaments.

Parking: Limited parking available at the back of the building on Empower’s private car park. With two allocated disabled parking bays to the front of the building. On-street parking is available for up to an hour. There are also pay and display car parks nearby.
Accessibility: Empower’s offices have widened doorways to reception and level access ramps to the main entrance.
